  1. Symphony No 7 in C Op 105 - Jean Sibelius
  2. Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No 3 in C Op 26 - Sergey Prokofiev
  3. Symphony No 5 in F Op 76 - Antonín Dvorák

Two 20th century classics in the short single movement Symphony No 7 by Sibelius and the brilliant Third Piano Concerto by Prokofiev precede one of the most tuneful symphonies by Dvorák, his fifth. Alessandro Taverna, one of our most popular visitors over recent years, makes the journey from Venice to be with us again. He is a sparkling talent as regular concert-goers know and will bring his brilliant technique to the most memorable of concertos.

Meet the Artist: Andrew Penny talks to Alessandro Taverna at 6.30pm - free to ticket holders
