Cadogan Hall is delighted to welcome back the Czech National Symphony Orchestra – one of the most popular orchestras in Europe. In two concerts this season they are conducted by Petr Altrichter, one of the Czech Republic’s most distinguished conductors, who made an impressive name through his dynamic and insightful interpretations of Czech, Russian and German symphonic repertoire.

Barry Douglas has established a major international career since winning the Gold Medal at the 1986 Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition in Moscow.

The two Czech National Symphony Orchestra programmes feature two of Schubert’s most lyrical symphonies, Beethoven’s iconic Fourth and Fifth Piano Concertos, and Dvorák’s much-loved seventh and ninth symphonies.

The first Czech National Symphony Orchestra concert is on Monday 16 April, with soloist Pavel Kolesnikov.
