The Stondon Singers: JS Bach's St John Passion

In the near-perfect acoustic of Chelmsford Cathedral, we are performing Bach's moving St John Passion, with period instrument ensemble The John Jenkins Consort, and professional soloists, a number of whom have performed with us in the past, including Bibi Heal and Simon Berridge. This particular event is the highlight of our 50th anniversary year.

Our soloists, collectively, have sung with The Sixteen, The Tallis Scholars, the Academy of Ancient Music, The Cardinall's Musick, Opera North, and other well-known ensembles.
