  1. Symphonic Suite, from On the Waterfront - Leonard Bernstein
  2. Concerto for Violin and Orchestra Op 35 - Erich Korngold
  3. Petrushka (1947 version) - Igor Stravinsky

To mark the centenary of the birth of Leonard Bernstein, we present the suite from his 1954 movie 'On the Waterfront', which starred Marlon Brando. Erich Korngold was an amazing child prodigy; forced to flee his native Austria he ended up, like so many refugee musicians, in America. Here he wrote his superb violin concerto, undoubtedly his finest work.

We end with Stravinsky's great ballet Petrushka.
