Sophie Phillips started learning the violin at the age of seven and is currently studying with Professor Ani Schnarch. Previously, she studied in Northamptonshire where she was the leader of the County Youth Orchestra and Sinfonia. She was also a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain for 3 years where she performed at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Proms and Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Coronation Festival. In addition to her orchestral achievements, she has participated in chamber festivals such as the Bowdoin International Music Festival and the Sacconi Festival. She is currently playing on a 1776 Richard Duke violin, kindly on loan from the Royal College of Music.

Meera Priyanka Raja began studying the cello at the age of eight and is currently studying with Professor Alexander Chaushian. She studied at Bancroft’s School where she held a Music Scholarship. On Saturdays, she attended the RCM Junior Department where she led the Sinfonia and Symphony orchestras. In 2009, Meera was selected to perform solo at the Royal Festival Hall. She was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain for 3 years where she performed at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Proms and Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Coronation Festival. Meera played in the multi award- winning West End Musical, ‘Bend it like Beckham.’

Nurry Lee attended Wells Cathedral School, one of the four specialist music schools, on a full scholarship. She gained the concerto prize, performing the Shostakovich Piano Concerto No 2 and worked alongside conductors Christopher Adey, Paul Denegri and Dennis Simons. She also won the keyboard prize at Gregynog Young Musician of the Year and gained 1st Prize in European Piano Teachers Association, Midsomerset Festival, Longwell Green and Eistedford. She studied with Professor John Byrne (Head of Keyboard at Wells Cathedral Schoo), and since coming to RCM is now working with Professor Ian Jones (Deputy Head of Keyboard at RCM).
