Grampian Concert Orchestra is thrilled to present guitar soloist Steven Joseph, to play the renowned Rodrigo concerto, written in 1939.

Hailed by as “an accomplished young performer” (Classical Guitar Magazine) and "a fearless and exciting young guitarist with daring virtuosity and an intimate touch on the instrument" (thisisclassicalguitar.com), Steven has established himself as one of the most exciting and innovative guitarists of his generation. He performs across the UK and around the world as a soloist, concerto artist and ensemble player, and his performances have captivated and enthralled audiences.

The concert will be opened in dramatic fashion, with a rousing depiction of Spain, in Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnol, and rounded off a popular Dvorák Symphony.

The historic and atmospheric Cathedral Church of St Machar in the heart of old Aberdeen is once again our venue.

Refreshments (wine/juice, included in ticket price) will be offered at the interval.
