In this second concert by the Sacconi String Quartet, the Czech theme is continued with a performance of Dvorák’s String Quartet in G major, written towards the end of his life and undoubtedly one of his finest chamber works.
There is a rare chance to hear a short quartet by the American composer Philip Glass, known for his minimalist music including a number of successful operas. The programme also includes one of the quartets that Mozart wrote and dedicated to his friend Haydn.

The final concert in this series will be on Sunday 25 March 2018.
