Join London Concertante as they travel across the Irish Sea as part of their 2018 UK and Ireland tour with a programme of classical favourites, headlined by Vivaldi’s iconic Four Seasons.

Founded in 1991, the ensemble continues to travel up and down Britain, and beyond with tours throughout Europe and the USA. Recognised for their irresistible musical interpretations and enchanting performance style, it is no surprise that they have continue to find such a continued and far reaching support for over 25 years. Reaching critical acclaim on their numerous recordings, London Concertante have found themselves labeled one of the finest chamber ensembles in Europe.

Travel the musical periods with a selection of hand-picked classical favourites. Although the aptly seasonal choices of Vivaldi’s 'Spring' and 'Summer' require very little introduction, one of the less well known works of the programme, Telemann’s Viola Concerto, is a true musical delight, highlighting the characteristic capabilities of the Viola with its tender, melancholic slower passages and stately, regal quicker faster moments. Accompanied by the ingenious creativity of Arensky’s variations, the English folk inspired St Paul’s Suite by Holst, and the expansive and immersive emotional rollercoast of Mendelssohn’s String Symphony, the concert promise to be a delightful celebration of music for strings.

If you don’t consider yourself ‘in the know’ about Mozart, Beethoven, or Bach, fear not, this is the orchestra for you. The London Concertante boasts a remarkable audience record in which an impressive 50% of spectators are first time classical concert goers! The London Concertante has its audience laughing at jokes, gasping at virtuosity, moved by gorgeous string playing, and leaving with a smile on their faces.

“Beautifully played and so enchanting, I fell in love as soon as I heard them play” - A happy audience member (September 2017)
