La bohème | Leeds Youth Opera

Leeds Youth Opera's first performance in its 47th season is Puccini's La bohème, sung in Italian with surtitles. from 7th-10th February. Principals are drawn from the Northern conservatoires and longstanding members of the company who may continue into professional music careers. Leeds Youth Opera's orchestra is organised for each show with young professional leaders and grade 8 plus students who audition for the rare rexperience of an opera production. This performance is set in a refugee camp and younger members of the company hav dramtic roles throughout the opera to further their interest and understanding of the opera.
