An Evening with Donald Maxwell

Donald Maxwell launches his first farewell tour at this year's Perth Festival. Unlike Elton John there are however only two dates on his tour- all the more reason therefore to catch his final concert in the Fair City!

He has had two careers. One as a geography teacher at Perth Academy, and the other, rather longer lasting and marginally more successful, as an opera singer. When he realised that a number of his former pupils had retired, it seemed like a good time to hang up his larynx.

Tonight's programme has a few friends helping Donald to highlight some of the musical milestones of the last 40 odd years. Expect some humour , a touch of nostalgia and of course 'On the road to Mandalay'!
