Verdi's Requiem - Open Singing Day with English Arts Chorale

Join us for a singing day exploring Verdi's popular Requiem, under the inspiring leadership of the English Arts Chorale's founder and musical director, Leslie Olive. The day will end with an informal performance, to which friends and family are warmly invited.

Hear how Benjamin Britten was influenced by the powerful drama of Verdi’s choral masterpiece, and how this is reflected in his composition of the War Requiem. If you feel inspired by these pieces, there are also opportunities to join the English Arts Chorale and sing the Britten War Requiem in June 2018 in Winchester Cathedral and Tewkesbury Abbey.

The workshop will take place in the warm, encouraging acoustic and comfortable modern seating of St Mary's Church, Reigate.
