Marta Puig was born in Barcelona in 1992 and studied piano with Maria Jesus Crespo and Pierre Reach at the Escola Superior de Musica de Catalunya, where she graduated with distinction. She is currently on the Guildhall Artist Masters course in London studying with Peter Bithell and is generously supported by Charlotte Antoinette Trydell and Foundation Agusti Pedro i Pons.
Marta has also studied with renowned musicians such as Paul Badura-Skoda, Luiz de Moura Castro, Claudio Martinez Mehner, Kennedy Moretti or Cuarteto Casals.
She has performed as a soloist and in chamber groups in some prestigious venues throughout Spain, Germany and UK, including Alicia 'e Larrocha Hall in Auditori de Barcelona, Real Academia de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi, Schumann-Haus in Leipzig, Museu de la Musica de Catalunya, giving a lecture/recital in Albeniz’s piano or in Foment Mataroní where she is Artist in residence.
She has performed with several orchestras in Catalonia such as GIOrquestra, Penedes Chamber Orchestra playing 'Amor Brujo' of Manuel de Falla, conducted by Marius McGuiness and as a soloist playing recently the Mozart Concerto K. 414 and the César Franck Symphonic Variations in Barcelona.
In February 2019 Marta and tenor Eduard Mas Bacardit will perform at the renowned Schubert Lied Cicle at the Auditori de Barcelona.
