Wednesday March 21st is European Day of Early Music and to celebrate this Brighton Early Music Festival (BREMF) will present a concert entitled A cappella Europe: 700 years of song. The programme will feature all three choirs formed by BREMF in the last several years – the BREMF Consort of Voices, the Singers and the Community Choir. This unique European musical journey through time will include the earliest known 10th-century polyphony, plus a kaleidoscope of works by later composers up to Bach. There will also be anonymous music from 12th century Europe and the 13th century Lewes Breviary.
