Born in Moscow, Anna Geniushene is studying for her Master’s degree at the Royal Academy of Music under the supervision of Christopher Elton, generously supported by an ABRSM Scholarship. Prior to this, she graduated from the Moscow Conservatory, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree under Elena Kuznetsova.

Anna won the Academy’s prestigious Patrons Award in January 2018. In 2017 she won three prizes at the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition: Bronze, Junior Jury Prize and the Special Prize for Chamber Music. Her early musical achievements include second prize at the Shostakovich Music Competition for Youth (1998) and the Grand Prix at the Blüthner International Piano Competition (2006). Anna went on to win many competitions, including the Romantic Music Festival for Young Musicians (2010), Città di Padova International Music Competition (2012) and Maria Yudina International Music Competition (2015), as well as second prize at the Mauro Paolo Monopoli Competition (2017) and first prize and the Audience Prize at the Sheepdrove Piano Competition, Newbury. Anna is currently preparing for the Leeds International Piano Competition, which will be held in September 2018.
