The Lunaire Quartet, formed of graduates of the Royal Academy of Music and The Royal Northern College of Music has, over the years, developed a focus on bringing contemporary and lesser known works to audiences. As individuals the musicians have busy freelance schedules working with orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Concert orchestra, and the Southern Sinfonia. The Quartet gives recitals in London and the south east and often works with young contemporary composers. Each member of the quartet is also highly involved with educational and academic work, teaching students at both school and university levels to nurture and inspire the next generation of musicians.
