Re-inventors of global sounds, rewriters of rulebooks and winners of the Royal Over-Seas League Competition 2017, Kabantu (previously Project Jam Sandwich) is a five-piece band hailing from Manchester who unravel new marriages of music from around the globe to celebrate the space where different cultures meet. Vocal harmonies from South Africa coalesce with everything from Celtic reels to Brazilian samba and beyond.

They have performed all over the UK including the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, BBC Free Thinking Festival at Sage Gateshead, BBC Radio 3 In Tune, Bridgewater Hall, Celtic Connections and Cambridge Folk Festival.
