We travel from the east via Russia, Poland and Hungary, featuring music which depicts despair to jubilant praise, with some fun along the way. Straddling east and west is Tavener's mesmerising Song for Athene. We continue westward with Schumann (four glorious part songs) and thrilling pieces for double choir by Gustav Holst and Charles Wood. We also meet up with Ralph Vaughan Williams in two contrasting pieces. Your journey starts with a ticket.
