'Angels and Devils' - a programme of Italian baroque sonatas

Duo Dorado embarks on a musical journey to 18th century Italy, the birthplace of the violin, in the company of Corelli (the Archangel), Scarlatti, Vivaldi, Locatelli and their contemporaries. With Italian passion and devilish virtuosity contrasting with dreamy serenityand evocative melodies, these sumptuous sonatas are as varied as the country itself. They are performed using a replica of the beautiful Ruckers-Hemsch harpsichord in the Cobbe collection decorated with rich painting and gold leaf which makes this concert a feast for the eyes as well as the ears.
