  1. Requiem à la mémoire de Louis XVI - Sigismund von Neukomm

St Salvator's Chapel Choir of the University of St Andrews present their new CD of Sigismund von Neukomm's rarely heard Requiem à la mémoire de Louis XVI. This remarkable work was composed for the Congress of Vienna in 1815 and is especially notable for its pioneering use of chromatic brass instruments.

The choir will be joined by The Wallace Collection, directed by John Wallace CBE, and brass students from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance directed by Andrew Dunn. All brass players will perform on period instruments and the first half will include music by Meyerbeer, David and Arban which illustrates the development of brass technology during the 19th century.

Copies of the CD, 'Resonances of Waterloo' will be available for just £10.
