  1. Das Wohltemperierte Klavier, 'The Well-Tempered Clavier', Book 2 - Johann Sebastian Bach

Following her sell-out performance in 2016, Angela Hewitt makes a welcome return to the Studio for a performance of one of Bach’s greatest keyboard collections. Arguably one of Bach’s most influential works, the dedication of The Well-Tempered Clavier states that its purpose is ‘for the profit and use of musical youth desiring instruction, and especially for the pastime of those who are already skilled in this instruction’.

“Angela Hewitt’s Bach has long been a thing of wonder. Each prelude and fugue has a character of its own and contributes something special to Bach’s iridescent kaleidoscope of musical invention.” The Daily Telegraph

Please note the early start time for this concert, which will also include a 30-minute interval.
