  1. Serenade for 2 violins and viola Op 12 - Zoltán Kodály
  2. Terzetto in C Op 74 - Antonín Dvorák

Although his work was greatly admired abroad, Zoltán Kodály’s love of the Hungarian countryside and tradition kept him in his homeland even during troubled political times. Folk music is clearly to the fore in his engaging Serenade and there is an abundance of rich melodies. Dvorák’s lively Terzetto was originally written for amateur players, but the technical demands of the piece turned out to be beyond the capabilities of the original dedicatees!
