Join Johanna Harrison and Ashley Beauchamp as they perform a dramatic programme focused on telling stories through music.

Not all lullabies are calming, and not all fairy tales have a straightforward happy ending. In this concert Johanna Harrison and Ashley Beauchamp explore the complexity and power that these tales hold over us in the most formative part of our lives.

Johanna Harrison is a British soprano studying as a postgraduate student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under the tutelage of Marcus van den Akker. Her roles include Mercedes (Bizet, Carmen, Dartington International Festival), Lucretia (Britten, The Rape of Lucretia, Oxford Opera), Dejanira (Handel, Hercules, SJE Arts), Papagena/Zweite Dame (Mozart, Die Zauberflöte, Westminster Opera), and Diana (Cavalli, La Calisto, New Chamber Opera Studio).

Ashley Beauchamp is a pianist and conductor based in London, currently studying at the Opera School of Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Specialising in working with singers, he is regularly found giving recitals across the UK and has performed at a number of top venues including St Martin-in-the-Fields, Milton Court Concert Hall and a masterclass showcase concert at the Wigmore Hall.
