The human voice is at the unspoken heart of Schubert’s and Chopin’s greatest piano works. In this final ‘Pianograms’ recital, Mark Bebbington plays Schubert’s supremely lyrical A major Sonata D664 and Four Impromptus D899 and contrasts these with Chopin’s mature masterpiece - his Sonata in B minor op 58, at its heart a central slow movement of unalloyed vocal inspiration.
