The Strand Consort presents Bach's motets in their debut concert, conducted by Joseph Fort with continuo and a selection of organ solos by James Orford. An up-and-coming group comprised of hand-picked young professionals based in London, The Strand Consort looks forward to its first public performance.

Joseph Fort is the college organist and Director of the Choir of King's College London, and Lecturer in Music at King’s. Joseph has broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and Radio 4, and on US radio. His conducting debut with Britten Sinfonia in 2017 was met with acclaim from The Times, and his recording with the Choir of King's College London of the Brahms Requiem (London Version) was released by Delphian Records in December 2017.

James Orford is currently the Organ Scholar at St Paul's Cathedral. In demand as a recitalist and accompanist, James also studies the organ on a scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music, where David Titterington is his teacher. His past positions include Organ Scholar at King's College London and The Royal Hospital, Chelsea.

Join us for an evening of spectacular music in the stunning setting of King's College London's Strand Chapel.
