For our main concert this Christmas, we have put together a fine selection of festive music, plus a chance to give your own vocal cords a blast, accompanied by a small but perfectly formed sparkling brass band.

Our main piece is the Charpentier Messe de minuit, which is a fine piece of Baroque harmony from the man who gave you the Eurovision theme tune. Continuing in the baroque way, we have a couple of great pieces from the JS Back Magnificat, Freut euch und Jubiliert and Vom Himmel Hoch. You'll love the classical modernism of James Macmillan's In splendouribus sanctorum and Lauridsen's O magnum mysterium. They're both short pieces but stunningly beautiful.

We also have some modern pieces that you may be more familar with. What could be jollier than the fabulous Sleigh Ride (together with you) and the Mariah Carey hit All I want for Christmas is you?

Finally, we round off the concert with some rousing carols, to send you on your way with a song in your step.

The venue, St James's, is just a step away from Paddington and is a superb venue, with excellent accoustics and wonderful stained glass window. It has enough space for us to offer seats on the door, although you'll find that the tickets are cheaper if brought in advance. The concert will take place by candlelight to make an even more Christmassy atmosphere. We'll have refreshments of wine and mince pies at the interval, so you can really get into the seasonal spirit.

So don't delay - put us in your Concert Diary!
