  1. Concerto for violin and strings in E major BWV 1042 - Johann Sebastian Bach
  2. Symphony No 5 in C sharp minor - Gustav Mahler

We are delighted to invite Leader Alexander Stemp to perform Bach's Violin Concerto in E. A treat not to be missed!

This is followed by Mahler's magnificent 5th Symphony. Conductor Herbert von Karajan once said of his experience of listening to Mahler "you forget that time has passed. A great performance of the Fifith is a transforming experience. The fantastic finale almost forces you to hold your breath" The famous Agagietto has been used countless times for films scores, television and commeration events. Blackburn Symphony and special guests Sale Chamber Orchestras combine to perform this beautiful Symphony.
