The Academy Cello Ensemble was originally founded by Josephine Knight and Felix Schmidt in 2012 selecting outstanding students from the Royal Academy of Music. The group perform diverse and exciting repertoire ranging from Dowland to well known film scores. Since their inaugural performance in May 2012 the Ensemble have performed at many prominent venues and festivals throughout the UK, demonstrating virtuosic performances and versatile programming ranging from cello quartets to mass cellos.
