In today’s recital, Lucy Winkett and Patrick Craig will trace the emotions of Holy Week through some of Handel’s greatest arias and duets. Lucy Winkett is the Rector of St James Piccadilly. Before Ordination, she was a Choral Scholar at Selwyn College, Cambridge, studied singing at the Royal College of Music, and sang regularly with the Cambridge Singers and Polyphony. Her roles include Madame Silberklang in Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor, Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls and Yum Yum in The Mikado. She now speaks regularly on issues surrounding gender and justice, and is an award-winning contributor to Radio 4’s Thought for the Day. Patrick Craig is a countertenor and conductor. He is a member of the Gramophone award-winning Cardinall’s Musick and a Vicar Choral at St Paul’s Cathedral, and performed a thousand concerts with the Tallis Scholars over twenty years.
