We welcome for our third concert of 2019 the Hungarian violinist Júlia Pusker. She is accompanied on piano by Renáta Konyicska.

Julia has been something of a child prodigy from the age of five moving through the 'Franz Liszt Academy for Children of Exceptional Talents' in 2005 in Budapest, the Royal Academy of Music in London from 2011, all with multiple scholarships. She is currently artist in residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Brussels.

The Beethoven violin sonata Opus 30 was composed in 1801 and is dedicated to Tsar Alexander 1 of Russia.

A feature of the programme is the solo violin sonata, in three movements, No 1 in G minor, by the Belgian violinist and composer Eugène Ysaye, a contemporary and friend of Debussy, was composed in 1923 and places high technical demands on the performer.
