  1. String Quartet No 8 in C minor Op 110 - Dmitry Shostakovich

An extraordinary collage of music, poetry and dramatic readings, performed by the cast of the National Theatre’s The Lehman Trilogy, Simon Russell Beale, Adam Godley and Ben Miles with Ensemble-in-Residence The Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective. Using extracts from Julian Barnes’s novel The Noise of Time, the artists explore the true story of Shostakovich’s deeply personal 8th string quartet, famously composed in only three days.
