Beethoven’s immense and startlingly original Razumovsky quartet is contrasted with the sunny disposition of Fanny Mendelssohn’s, and the creative ambition of Haydn’s. Royal Philharmonic Society award winner Grace Evangeline-Mason completes the quartet of composers, making for a compelling recital from the Castalian String Quartet. Having scooped up several major awards, this exciting ensemble is already in great demand all over the world.
