Violinist Carolina Blaskovic was born into a musical family in Zagreb and graduated from the Royal College of Music, London. She is currently studying for Master of Music course at the same institution with Mark Messenger where she is generously sponsored by the Frankopan Fund and Albert Cooper Music Charitable Trust. Carolina has performed as a soloist at venues throughout the UK including V&A Museum, Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall, St. Clement Danes Church, Church of St. Olave, St. Mary’s Church, Battersea, Waltham Abbey, St. Stephen's Church, St. Mary Abbots Church, United Reformed Church, Purley. She is a passionate performer of music for duo violin and piano and regularly performs with her duo partner, pianist Will Fielding. Their future engagements include performances of sonatas by Schubert, Schumann, Ravel and Fauré. Carolina plays on a Collin - Mezin violin kindly loaned by the Harrison - Frank Family Foundation.
Peter Regan is a London based Irish pianist. His playing has taken him from New York’s Carnegie Hall to Dublin’s National Concert Hall and the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto. He has performed live on national radio on Today with Seán O’Rourke on RTÉ Radio One and was a featured artist on Arena with Seán Rocks. Described as “a major talent” and as “the most individual and developed young Irish pianist I’ve heard in years” by Michael Dervan in the Irish Times, Peter graduated on the Dean’s List from the Glenn Gould School of Music, Toronto studying under internationally acclaimed pianist John O’Conor in May 2018. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the Royal College of Music, London, studying with Gordon Fergus-Thompson and Ian Jones.
Peter is a multiple prize-winner. He has won the Chisholm and O’Hea Cups at Pianofest in the Royal Irish Academy of Music, and the Harty, Heneghan, Huban, Esposito, Nordell and Benson Cups at Electric Ireland Feis Ceoil. He is also the winner of the Electric Ireland Feis Ceoil 2016 Morris-Grant Cup and Bursary, and the 2017 Mabel Swainson Pianoforte Award. He has worked in masterclasses with Leon Fleisher, Christopher Elton, John Perry, Stefan Vladar, Finghin Collins, Ronan O’Hora, Lilya Zilberstein, Pavel Nersessian, Robert Kulek, Evelyne Brancart and Daniel Hope.
Recently, Peter has given solo recitals at the Clandeboye Festival, Boyle Arts Festival, Westport Festival of Chamber Music and in Trinity College, Dublin at the invitation of the Goethe-Institut Choir. In 2017, he curated presented “Kinesthesia”, a joint interdisciplinary collaboration between students of the Glenn Gould School of Music and George Brown Dance.
A recipient of the prestigious Lucien and Maura Teissier Scholarship Fund, Peter studied at the Aspen Music Festival and School in the summer of 2013, where he gave performances at the Scanlan Hall and Aspen Chapel. Closer to home he has also performed in some of Ireland’s most prestigious venues, such as the National Concert Hall, the R.D.S. Concert Hall, the college chapel at Maynooth University and the Great Hall of Queen’s University, Belfast.
As a past member of St. Finian’s Schola Cantorum, Peter performed at the Schola Cantorum’s 40th anniversary gala concert for President Mary McAleese in 2010. Leading a delegation from the Young European Strings Chamber Orchestra, Peter delivered a formal bilingual speech to President Michael D. Higgins in Áras an Uachtaráin inviting him to become patron of the orchestra.
Recent performances include a lunchtime recital in the National Gallery of Ireland and solo recitals throughout Toronto. Upcoming performances include Prokofiev’s third piano concerto with the Hibernian Orchestra in the National Concert Hall, Dublin.
