Home Brass are a quintet formed of brass players hailing from three London Conservatoires - Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Royal College of Music and Royal Academy of Music. Four of the members grew up in Hertfordshire and as such met each other through playing in the Hertfordshire County Youth Orchestra. As a quintet, they perform a wide variety of repertoire, ranging from Baroque composers such as Giles Farnaby, to contemporary artists such as Witold Lutoslawski and Malcolm Arnold, as well as music from Broadway shows and an extensive selection of jazz tunes arranged for brass quintet. In the near future, the group is aiming to record a CD and will shortly be embarking on a brief tour of the UK in the following weeks and months.
