We return to North Harrow for our second concert at the Parish Church of St Alban. The title, Across the Pond – American and English Songs and Spirituals, is the inspiration for our summer programme.

There's music of the people, drawing on the Spirituals of black America (arranged by John Barnard) and on folk songs of an older England, arranged by John Rutter.

Music of a different style comes from both America, through Aaron Copland's 'Four Motets' and well-known works by Stephen Paulus, and England through the rich sounds of Moeran's 'Songs of Springtime' and the popular 'The Hills' by John Ireland.

We very much hope you will be able to join us to enjoy this medley of American and English vocal music and look forward to seeing you.
