  1. Sonata for violin and piano - Leoš Janácek
  2. 4 pieces for violin and piano Op 17 - Josef Suk
  3. Sonata for violin and piano No 2 - Erwin Schulhoff

Piano and violin are paired in this concert, opening with Janácek's extraordinary Violin Sonata - at times jagged and unusal, at times shimmering and bright. Music by Suk and Schulhoff completes the programme.

Immerse yourself in the rhythms, sounds and folk roots of music by Czech composers in this chamber music series at LSO St Luke's.

Running parallel to Sir Simon Rattle's exploration of Czech music, and the folk traditions behind it, with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican, this series of BBC Radio 3 Lunchtime Concerts at LSO St Luke's takes a look at solo and chamber music by Czech composers.
