'It would be difficult to discover a finer, more refreshing impression of really abundant and charming creative talent.' So said Johannes Brahms of Dvorák's Serenade for wind instruments, here performed by the LSO Wind Ensemble.

Immerse yourself in the rhythms, sounds and folk roots of music by Czech composers in this concert, showcasing the wind players of the LSO.

Running parallel to Sir Simon Rattle's exploration of Czech music, and the folk traditions behind it, with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican, this series of BBC Radio 3 Lunchtime Concerts at LSO St Luke's takes a look at solo and chamber music by Czech composers. For the third instalment, the LSO Wind Ensemble present Dvorák's Serenade in D minor, with its dance rhythms and folk-inspired melodies.
