Jacques Imbrailo, recent star of the Royal Opera's acclaimed production of Billy Budd, and Alisdair Hogarth make a much-anticipated return to the Festival in a wonderful programme of songs by Sibelius and Rachmaninoff, including the high drama of ‘Svarta Rosor’ (‘Black Roses’) and the haunting ‘V molchan’ i nochi taynoy’ (‘In the silence of the secret night’). These songs feature on their recent recording on Linn Records.
