  1. Ein deutsches Requiem (A German Requiem) Op 45 - Johannes Brahms, arranged by the composer for piano 4 hands, soloists and choir
  2. 5 Mystical Songs - Ralph Vaughan Williams

A German Requiem is Brahms's best-loved and most performed choral work. Completed in 1868, it was partly inspired by the death of the young composer's mother and also of his great friend and mentor, Robert Schumann. Using the German Lutheran Bible rather than the customary Latin one, it is a requiem for the people. This will be a rare chance to hear the four-hand piano arrangement, transcribed by Brahms himself from his original orchestral composition.
