Founded in 1995, the National Youth String Orchestra is one of the UK's most prestigious training orchestras for string players up to the age of 21.

National Youth String Orchestra's outstanding characteristic is the personalised coaching by music director Damian Iorio and a team of world class chamber music professioanals. Working on challenging repertoire they unlock the potential in each player, developing their musicality and confidence as individuals and member of a section.

Recent concerts have included Shostakovich's Chamber Symphony, Stravinsky's Appollon and and Strauss's Metamorphosen.
