  1. Dances of Galánta - Zoltán Kodály
  2. Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini Op 43 - Sergey Rachmaninov
  3. Symphony No 9 in E minor, 'From the New World' Op 95 - Antonín Dvorák

Join the nation’s favourite orchestra for an evening of orchestral gems, beginning with Kodaly’s enchanting Dances of Galánta, a musical tour of the composer’s native Hungary, featuring the folk melodies that helped form its musical identity. The centrepiece of this evening’s performance is Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini, a devilishly technical and lavishly expressive work, performed by celebrated pianist Mark Bebbington.

Dvorák’s powerful yet poignant ‘From the New World’ Symphony concludes the evening; a rightful staple in the top 20 of Classic FM’s ultimate Hall of Fame.
