The Carice Singers return to the extraordinary venue of St Mary's Bourne Street for a programme of ethereally expressive music which views death as only the start of our journey into paradise. The raw physicality of Purcell's Funeral Sentences and Gesualdo's Tenebrae Responsories for Holy Saturday are followed by Grieg's Fire Salmer (his last compostion) and In Paradisum by Estonian composer Galina Grigorjeva.

The Carice Singers is a British vocal ensemble directed by George Parris, described as possessing a "beauty of tone" and "musicality" that "few can match" (Gramophone Magazine, 2016). Since its founding in 2011, the ensemble has gained an enviable reputation for superb performances and imaginative programming both on disc and in live performance.
