Siân Philipps has broadcast for BBC TV and radio including Radio 3 'In Tune', S4C and BBC Wales as soloist with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Jose Cura in 2004, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and at the Wigmore Hall in London and Brahmssaal, Musikverein, Vienna. Siân is loaned a Stradivarius violin made in 1699.Born in Hong Kong, pianist Constance Chow(née Leung) moved to Britain in 2009. She gained her Master’s Degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She has completed her undergraduate music studies at King’s College London, where she was also a contralto choral scholar in the renowned college chapel choir, with which she has performed both as a pianist and as a singer in the UK and abroad. The musicians will play works by composers who have either overcome barriers themselves or have dedicated their work to those who have in a concert to raise awareness of homelessness and social exclusion followed by a discussion on the same theme and a talk by Brighton Housing Trust CEO, Andy Winter. Entrance is free and everyone is welcome!
