Inspired by the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing, London chamber choir Londinium heads for the stars, voyaging through a heady mix of music exploring the sun, moon and space. We hear the words of astronauts as set by Steve Martland and Kirke Mechem, and experience the mystery and wonder of the stars in music by such diverse composers as Victoria, Schumann, and Eriks Ešenvalds. Particular highlights include Barnaby Martin's haunting I saw eternity, the UK première of Steven Stucky's Winter Stars, and Cheryl Frances-Hoad's dazzling tribute to Professor Stephen Hawking, Beyond the Night Sky.
