  1. 3 Fantasiestücke, for clarinet and piano Op 73 - Robert Schumann
  2. Fantasie for solo clarinet - Jörg Widmann
  3. Fantasy Sonata in E flat for clarinet and piano - John Ireland

Matt and Tim present an enchanting fantasy world. Schumann’s pieces form a compact suite with contrasting movements, while John Ireland’s lyrical sonata is considered to be one of the composer’s finest chamber music works. These are presented together with Jörg Widmann’s short and lively clarinet solo.

“Jörg Widmann is one of the most exciting voices in music at the moment. That he is a clarinettist is of great excitement to me too, as he has written a good deal for the instrument. Beautiful, funny, virtuosic and HUGELY entertaining. I can’t wait to ride the rollercoaster that is his Fantasie once again.” Matthew Hunt
