She played here with Sheku Kanneh-Mason. Now, she’s back with a select group of the UK’s emerging superstars of classical music. Connie wanted to provide an opportunity for young talented musicians to share their musicianship through a varied and exciting programme of Schumann’s Fairy Tales, Britten’s Phantasy and Schubert’s Rosamunde.

The Schumann is a ‘picturesque and fanciful’ journey, as the combination of viola, clarinet and piano explore dreamlike melodies, marching themes, a love duet and a typically truculent caprice. Britten’s Phantasy Quartet oozes youthful English Folk influences, whilst Schubert’s Rosamunde is suffused with regret and melancholy.
