In celebration of Valentine's Day, join us for a romantic, candlelit evening in the stunning Ely Cathedral, with the Piccadilly Sinfonietta and Artistic Director and pianist, Warren Mailley-Smith with violinist, Martyn Jackson, and soprano, Susan Parkes. Enjoy selections of the world's greatest classical music with timeless works by the monumental composers, Mozart, Handel, and Vivaldi as well as operatic favourites.

If you’re looking for a special evening with your Valentine, in need of a relaxing experience, want to learn more about classical music, or just want to hear virtuosic performances by some of the best, young performers in the UK, this concert is just for you.

The Piccadilly Sinfonietta is one of the UK’s most exciting young ensembles. Founded in 2018, the ensemble has performed in halls throughout the UK including London, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Manchester and further afield. The Piccadilly Sinfonia exists to perform the world’s greatest classical music in the UK’s most historic venues.

The concert features breath-taking feats of virtuosity in Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and the “stunning” playing of pianist Warren Mailley-Smith in Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 12 in A major.

Award-winning concert pianist and a favourite performer for the British Royal Family, Warren Mailley-Smith, recently became the first British pianist to perform Chopin’s complete works from memory. An exceptional talent and a self-deprecating sense of humour, combined with his formidable technical skill and mature musicality, makes him a favourite with audiences.

So why not treat yourself to a spectacular evening and join us for a concert to remember of uplifting music.
