The Piccadilly Sinfonietta is one of the UK’s most exciting young ensembles. Founded in 2018, the ensemble has performed throughout the UK including London, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Manchester and further afield. The Piccadilly Sinfonietta exists to perform the world’s greatest classical music in the UK’s most historic venues.
The concert features breath-taking feats of virtuosity from violinist sensation, Harriet Mackenzie, in Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, and virtuoso concert pianist Warren Mailley-Smith in Chopin’s Second Piano Concerto.
Award-winning concert pianist Warren Mailley-Smith has played many times for the British Royal Family and is the first British pianist to perform Chopin’s complete solo piano works from memory. An exceptional talent and a self-deprecating sense of humour, combined with his formidable technical skill and mature musicality, make him a favourite with audiences.
Harriet Mackenzie is an internationally renowned concerto soloist and has performed across five continents. Her recordings include concertos with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra Nova and the English Symphony Orchestra which have received international acclaim, including Five Stars in The Times and have also frequently appeared in the ‘Top Recordings of The Year’ lists.
