  1. Partita No 2 in C minor BWV 826 - Johann Sebastian Bach
  2. Sonata for Piano No 18 in E flat, 'The Hunt' Op 31 No 3 - Ludwig van Beethoven
  3. Sonata for Piano No 7 in B flat Op 83 - Sergey Prokofiev

The 2014 BBC Young Musician winner makes his Nottingham debut with one of six Partitas which Bach wrote in five years, with the dances showing his lighter side. Beethoven’s sonata, known as ‘The Hunt’, after the galloping finale, is a relaxed and brilliant work, while Prokofiev’s is the second of three ‘war’ sonatas. Subtitled ‘Stalingrad’ it’s a potent reaction to Stalin’s regime of terror.
