Orchestra of the Swan welcomes Jennifer Pike, renowned for her unique artistry and compelling insight into music from the baroque to the present day, performing Tchaikovsky’s best known violin concerto. Prokofiev’s most famous symphony, the ‘Classical’ said by the composer to be the type of symphony Haydn would have written if he’d lived another 100 years, and the splendid Symphony No 3 by Schubert, make up the rest of this exciting programme.
