First Prize and Audience Prize winner of the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition 2015, the Linos Piano Trio has achieved recognition as an extremely dynamic and creative young chamber ensemble. Drawing on the rich and varied musical backgrounds of its members which include specialisms in historically informed performance, contemporary music and composition, the Linos Piano Trio has become renowned for its distinctive voice. Praised for its 'slow-burning, gripping' performance by The Strad, and an 'astounding performance' by the Hannoversche Allgemein, the rising reputation of the trio has taken it to such prestigious venues as the Barbican and Wigmore Halls in London, Schoenberg Centre in Vienna, Cité des Arts in Paris, Holzhausenschlösschen in Frankfurt and the György Ligeti Saal in Graz.

Formed in October 2007 in London, the Trio came to prominence in the Tunnell Trust Showcase for Young Musicians. The ensemble won the Guildhall School of Music and Drama's annual Ivan Sutton award for chamber music, and was awarded a full recital at the Purcell Room by the Park Lane Group in their 2011 series of concerts at the Southbank Centre.

The trio has since gone on to be a finalist and prize-winner in several international competitions. In 2014 the trio was awarded the Royal Philharmonic Society's Albert and Eugenie Frost Prize for an outstanding young ensemble. In the same year, the Linos Piano Trio was selected for the prestigious Chamber Music Mentorship Scheme where it received guidance from Peter Cropper, Eberhardt Feltz, Anthony Marwood and Sir András Schiff and has worked with musicians such as Rainer Schmidt, Christoph Poppen, Oliver Wille and Markus Becker.

In addition to performing the canon of the piano trio repertoire, the Linos Piano Trio also seeks to expand the horizons of the genre. In 2014 the Trio recorded the rarely played trios of CPE Bach, and more recently embarked on an ongoing project - Stolen Music - whereby the members of the trio arrange famous orchestral works for the piano trio medium.
